"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
This is one of those traditional places which is visited by the people from Cali and also by a lot of tourists, who want to avoid the heat of the city with the chilly weather and fog, which usually come down to this homely and beautiful place, where the most perfect and tasty thing to do is drinking a chocolate with an “arepa de choclo” (a traditional preparation made out of corn and cheese).
You could go to “La Cabaña” almost at every time of the day. Taking breakfast in the morning with an awesome view and a “calentao” (a typical recipe prepared with beans, rice, eggs, “arepa” and meat), having a “sancocho de gallina” (another famous typical plate in Valle del Cauca) for lunch, or having a Barbecue for dinner. This is an awesome and delightful place, surrounded by majestic mountains and colorful clouds which gently paint the sky.
¿How to get here?
From the west side of Cali you have to take the “Vía al Mar”, until you get to the 17th Kilometer, on the way to Cali-Dagua. In about 20 minutes and a lot of turns you are going to see at the right the name of the restaurant: “La Cabaña”.
