"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
This temple has a neoclassical style that instantly captivates its terracotta-colored facade, and the emphasis on detail makes it even more eye-catching. It is considered one of the main architectural specimens of the early twentieth century. Its construction began in 1914 and only until 1929 was completed. Any tourist would be attracted by the majestic infrastructure of this church.
Inside this Cathedral there is a canvas in which the Virgin of Palmar is represented, to whom the church owes its name. Also, it houses elements of great value, such as: the main altar of carracan marble, frescos by the master Mauricio Ramelli and images and steps with impressive finishes. The temple, in addition to its architectural beauty, is spacious inside, capable of housing a large number of parishioners. All these qualities make this cathedral a suitable place for spirituality, prayer and the encounter with God, at the same time that it remains in the memories of those who have been impacted by its beauty.
