"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
The “Lago de Las Garzas” Ecopark is located at around of a wetland, on the south of Cali. This space is intended for the conservation of the environment, environmental education and recreation of the whole family. The place has wide scenarios, adorned with beautiful vegetation and wildlife with which you can interact and live unforgettable moments. Also, within the public property, 400 trees were planted in memory of people who died in a plane crash in the city in 1995.
The Corporación Autónoma de Occidente, as well as the local administration and the Colegio Bolivar have joined forces to maintain this area at its maximum splendor, thus providing tourists with a pleasant environment where you can breathe fresh air and live unique experiences in communion with nature and other attractions offered by the Ecopark in its facilities, such as: fishing, camping, horseback riding, ecological walk, discovery of exotic fauna, bird watching, reptiles, mammals and insects, swimming in the pools and tasting of typical dishes in the restaurant whose specialty is fish.
How to get there?
The Lago de Las Garzas Ecopark is located in Cali, Pance neighborhood, on Carrera 127 with Calle 16. The massive public transport of Cali, MIO, offers a route called A19A that stops near the place.
