"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
One of the main attractions things Palmira is the MAP, the ‘Museo Arqueológico de Palmira’ (Archaeological Museum of Palmira), where you can see more than 750 pieces that represent the pre-Hispanic society 'Malagana'. This indigenous community was settled these lands over 2000 years ago and shaped its ceremonial and spiritual rituals through beautiful ceramics that are now an archaeological treasure.
In this wonderful space, dedicated to preserve and spread the pre-Columbian culture settled in the Valle del Cauca centuries ago, through touch screens visitors can observe the reference collections exhibited in interactive rooms, where children and adults have the opportunity to learn and interact with three-dimensional sensations.
The museum is located at the old train station cellar. There, visitors will find nearly 750 pieces, of which 120 are displayed across six rooms and the others are part of the reference collections. Some of the piece can be observed in interactive rooms that use touch screens giving them a 3D effect.
