The Anchicayá River starts its flowing in the Cali’s Farallones, a mountain range around Cali, and empties into the Bay of Buenaventura, in the Pacific Ocean. For many reasons the Anchicayá River has positioned itself as a favorite tourist destination, such as the exotic fauna and flora that houses this ecosystem. Palms, ferns and big trees are some of the wonders that grow on this land. Also, primates, birds, reptiles and amphibians are some of the animals that live here. On the other hand, the water resource is home to numerous species of fish.

Additionally, thanks to the calm waters and the cord of tropical humid forest that adorns both sides of the river, this has become the perfect scenario for the descent in kayak, being in addition to a natural paradise, source of a healthy recreation. How to get there?

From Dagua municipality, it is easier to get transportation to get to the places where the activities are carried out in the Anchicaya River. By car, from Cali, you must take “Vía al mar” highway. In public transport, the company Corredor del Pacífico offers routes to Dagua. Another option is to move to a meeting point located on Portada al mar, specifically, in the second TEXACO service station from where you can take a bus to Dagua (this service is offered by Bicivan company).
