"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
Considered to be one of the best in the world, fourth best in Latin America and number one in Colombia, the ‘Zoológico de Cali’ (Cali’s Zoo) is home to over 2,500 animals of 240 species. The interesting thing about this place is that its importance lies not only in the variety of animals it houses, but also in the programs of care, protection and reproduction of fauna that it develops. Because of this, in 2016 it received a high quality accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Suitable for children, teens and adults, this place is ideal for animal lovers. Get to know the only exhibition in the country with meerkats, kangaroos, wallabies and hyenas. It is a time for sharing with family and friends, where you can go from the Amazon to the sea, from heaven to Australia.
Within its ten hectares, crossed by the Río Cali (Cali River), the Zoo has an aquarium, aviary, Amazon area for primates (Jaziquima), butterfly garden, reptile kiosk, Andean theme area, Australian theme area, theater, among other spaces that will make of your visit an unforgettable moment.
Arriving is simple. Take the MIO’s (Cali´s public transport) lane A02 which will drop you off in front of the main entrance.
