"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.

The ‘Avenida Colombia’ once was one of the main roads of the city. Years later, in that same place there is the largest urban tunnel in the country and one of the longest in Latin America. Above it, is the ‘Bulevar del Río’ (River’s Boulevard). With nearly 800 meters long, bordering the city’s main river, tourists will find this pedestrian-exclusive area, that will adorn herself the best display of Christmas lights in December, entertaining both children and adults. The rest of the year, it acts as a meeting spot in which people discuss and chat while holding a beer in their hands and feel the breeze caress their faces.
The tour begins in the ‘Iglesia La Ermita’ (Church of the Hermitage) then you will see the old building of the Colombian Tobacco Company and the emblematic ‘Puente Ortiz’ (Ortiz Bridge). Along the way, some sculptures adopt feline figures that purr to the faces of distracted passers-by. At the end, stands the Intercontinental Hotel and the ‘El Peñón’ neighborhood. This walk is a more intimate, though casual, way of knowing the city’s reality and its dynamics. Nowadays, this space has become more popular among those who seek for other relaxation options, which is why it has been witnessing an increase in commercial, cultural and gastronomic activities.
