Buga, the miracle’s lord
This is the town of the miracles. Buga is one of the most visited religious destinations in the country, plus is the only town in Valle del Cauca which is part of the Heritage Towns Network. Walking through its streets is the best if you want to see every church, admiring the colonial architecture and the historical relics such as the Train Station and the Municipal Theater.
The Basilica of the Lord of Miracles, without doubts is one of its most visited attractions. Thousands of believers go every day, looking for “El Milagroso” (The Miraculous), giving to him offerings or paying penances. Going on their knees from the Lourdes’s Square to the altar, or walking from Cali to Buga is just a sample of their followers faith.
San Pedro’s Cathedral is another sacred and architectural relic of Buga. The bull's-eye window, builded hundreds of years ago is the responsible of illuminate the altar in a mystical way every first of January, at 4:30 in the afternoon. These are just some of the mysteries that are hidden in the beautiful “Guadalajara de Buga”.
"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
