Tuluá and its talking bridges
The lands of this city are located in the center of Valle del Cauca. Its geography is very varied since like many other towns located in the central area of the department, it is part of the geographic valley of the Cauca River and the Central Mountain Range, where the Páramo de Santa Lucía and of Barragan meet.
The Jardín Botánico María Céspedes is considered an Eden of biodiversity within the city for being home to exuberant forests, dream gardens and forest plantations that are surrounded by the Tuluá River. It is the ideal destination for nature, ecotourism and the silence that only Mother Earth provides lovers. Once they step on this oasis of life they want to stay forever, or at least they wish for the rest of their lives to come back.
The other side of Tuluá is lived in the urban center, equally valuable for been built thanks to the farming and livestock industry, the commerce and the infinity of stories that were passed from generation to generation. Stories like those of the seven bridges that cross the Tuluá River, that take their nickname after the stories that have crossed them. Among them: Los Gatos, Las Brujas and Las Chapetas. The last is must to go pass by due to the most beloved and known-by-all-locals women: those who sell delicious and desired empanadas, a treat that has been around for over a century.
"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
