"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
The Parque Bosque Municipal (park) was created by the local stewardship’s initiative with the means of creating a sports and recreation centre for the community. The park has 464m2 (4,994 square feet), large green spaces, and facilities exclusively designed for sporting disciplines. This place hosts the municipality’s cultural events, such as, la Feria Nacional de la Caña de Azúcar (Sugarcane national fair) that is celebrated every year since 1997. The tourists that wish to attend this place can enjoy of a recreational space, leisureness, and healthy entertainment, in which they may also have the opportunity to learn about the traditions of the region.
How to get there?
The Parque Bosque Municipal is located in the municipality of Florida, in the 6th street between Carreras 6th and 8th. The fastest route to get there is traveling on a personal vehicle and taking the highway Florida-Cali that lasts 45 minutes. If you wish to travel on ground transportation from Cali, the bus routes that can take you there are: Expreso Florida, Sultana del Valle, Trans Florida, and Líneas del Valle.
