"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
Sevilla hides one of the jewels of national biodiversity. At a height that varies between 3,500 and 3,800 meters above sea level, nothing but the whispering stealth of the wind and the whistling of the mountains is heard. The ‘Páramo de la Yerbabuena’ (Spearmint moor), beyond being an area of great importance for the country's bio-preservation, is a multisensory experience that transports visitors to a world of fullness and total peace.
In the Páramo, the mountains are jealous and watch the steps of those who visit. They are the guardians of different lagoons that use the eternal mist to mischief and rest in the foothills of the mountain ranges. On its shores, the frailejones are erected, plants that can only be found in these ecosystems, and their leaves recall the softness of a donkey's ear. If the idea is to be absent from this banal world, to travel to a universe of calm in which one is lulled by the fragility of nature, then this is the ideal place.
How to get there?
The only way of access to the Páramo is by land, usually through small cars that help people move around the countryside of Sevilla. Because of this, it is necessary to jump on this vehicles once you arrive to this city (public buses oftenly depart from Cali’s main public bus station). Another option, is heading to the town of Roncesvalles in the department of Tolima, where you will need to do the same as if you were in Sevilla.
