"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
The “Fiesta de Retorno” of Bugalagrande is a cultural event held in August, in which the inhabitants of Bugalagrande celebrate for nine days the creation of their municipality, which has been done for 35 years.
Full of joy, hospitality and tradition, the locals perform different activities in the different parks and plazas, where they evoke their identity and love for their municipality with marches accompanied by torches, serenades to the town, horseback riding, concerts and beauty contests. In this way, they provide fun and entertainment to all people regardless of their age, since they have some activities in mind for children such as horseback riding and a special "children's fair" schedule.
How to get there?
To get to Bugalagrande from the transport terminal of Cali you have to take an intermunicipal route offered by the transport company Cooperativa de Occidente. The trip lasts approximately 2 hours.
To enjoy the schedule of the Fiesta de Retorno, in each park of the municipality, there is a person in charge of distributing flyers and posters with the information of all the activities held on this memorable festival.
