"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.

If you visit the Piqueteadero El Dinde, your taste buds will certainly enjoy it. This is a must-see gastronomic stop, the locals and tourists recognize this place as a restaurant of excellent quality. Its good customer service and delicious dishes make it worth a very good reputation within the area. The place, located in Alcalá, offers typical food of the region, like fritanga. In addition, within its main dishes are the chorizo, chicharrón, pork ribs, and sancocho.
How to get there?
The Piqueteadero is located in the town of Alcalá, specifically in El Dinde at kilometer 9 on the Alcalá-Cartago road. To arrive there, the shortest route by car is taking the Cali-Palmira highway and continuing the trip until you have passed the municipalities of El Cerrito, Ginebra, Buga, Andalucía, Zarzal, La Unión and Cartago. If you come by public transport, from the main road of Cartago you will find different buses to go to Alcalá.
