Pradera, a retreat to meditate
The "Land of the Meadows" is located southeast of the Valle del Cauca, bordering the Department of Tolima. The only thing that separates these two regions is the great Central Mountain Range, a destination that is beginning to be explored by sportsmen and ecotourism lovers. Today, these peaks are synonymous with tranquility and pure nature.
Climbing the Kwet-Wala stone is a fascinating challenge, since it is not only a demanding exercise, but also an archaeological and historical privilege to step on the land of the Cacique San Rafael. The legend says that when the Spanish conquest arrived, the Cacique enchanted the stone to keep all the treasures of the tribe in its interior.
The rivers, streams and lagoons of the area are another example of peace in Pradera. You can enjoy the tranquility of its waters and immerse yourself in the simplest pleasures of life.
"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
