La Victoria, where the cravings are called “Solteritas”.
In the northern region of the Valle del Cauca is La Victoria, surrounded by green plains and mountains, belonging to the western slope of the Central Mountain Range. At 156 Kilometers from Cali, you will be able to know this paradise of wide landscapes, small streets and beautiful people.
The town, like many others in the Valle del Cauca, is calm, small and picturesque. Walking through its streets will make you understand another reality of life and its rhythm. In La Victoria, messages and news don’t have to go through the voice of the big social or news networks. Here everything is known thanks to the loud voice of the preacher "Piri", an iconic Victorian character who for many years has been announcing with a horn and a bicycle, the good and bad news that happen in any corner of the town.
If you come around these lands, you have to get to know the church of San José, which along with the image of Nuestra Señora de Todos los Santos, are the most important relics in town. Another requirement, of course, is to try the punch, the cambray empanadas, the pandeyuca and the "Solteritas", an appetizer made of wheat flour and deep fried like churros, with the difference that the firsts have the shape of a star, and are bathed in a provocative sweet cover that overflows its edges. You can ask any passer-by where to find them. However, the truth is that “Solteritas” abounds in this place; nobody is safe from them.
"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
