"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
The Church of Nuestra señora del Rosario, located in the township of Huasano, municipality of Trujillo, is a unique religious tourist destination. Its construction began in the year 1879. Of Spanish colonial style, this is a temple that was named in honor to the Rosario’s Virgin. This temple, in addition to being an architectural treasure of the place, possesses artifacts of great value in its interior. For example, the image of the Virgin that was brought in 1917 and the main altar wood carved of gothic style.
In addition, the church hosts the patron saint festivities that are celebrated each year in the month of October, welcoming a significant number of parishioners from different regions of the country, and being recognized by these as one of the most representative houses of prayer, emblematic place of extraordinary beauty.
How to get there…
The Church of Nuestra señora del Rosario is located in front of the central plaza of the Huasano township, municipality of Trujillo. The fastest route to get there in a private vehicle is taking the Cali-Palmira / Carretera 25 highway, continue the road trip through the municipalities: Rozo, El Cerrito, Guacarí and Buga, then, through Mediacanoa, take exit 23 in the direction Riofrío. After this municipality, on the same road is the entrance to the township of Huasano. Another option is to travel by bus from the ground transportation of Cali to Trujillo. The company Coopetrans Trujillo offers this service. Once there, tourists can take a public transportation route that takes you to the township of Huasano.
