"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
This forest reserve located in the municipality of La Cumbre, is made up of a mist forest ecosystem and more than 175 hectares of different native trees, birds and reptiles.
Located in the trails of Chicoral and Zaragoza, southern of the municipality, the reserve was declared by the Corporación Autónoma Regional de Valle del Cauca - CVC (Regional Autonomous Corporation of Valle del Cauca), the first protected area in the region for the conservation of soils and the adoption of the management plan of Plan de manejo de la Reserva Forestal Protectora Regional de Bitaco (Bitaco regional protective forest reserve), which makes this a very interesting place to visit and learn about. In this magnificent place, you can enjoy ecological trails and a delightful bird watching area.
How to get there?
To get to Bitaco township by public transportation, you must get to the municipality of La Cumbre first. From there, you take a jeep willys (public transportation) up to Bitaco. If you travel by a personal vehicle, you can take the Cali - Buenaventura highway and you exit to the right towards the km 22.
