"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.

The historical downtown of Cali and its houses are the most important and impressive buildings of the city. This historic area include from Avenida Colombia to Carrera 10 and from Calle 5 to Calle 15. This space is a set of places such as streets, plazas, old buildings where public and private institutions operate, religious temples and civil establishments. All of this make this tour a really good option with multiple recreation and learning opportunities for tourists and locals.
The tour of the Cali’s historic center begins in the Plaza de Cayzedo, the neighborhoods La Merced, Santa Rosa, and San Cayetano, which preserve the oldest and most emblematic buildings of the city, which were declared a National Monument in 1959. Despite that some buildings have been restored, there are many that still preserve the Colonial style of the time of its construction, for example: the religious complex San Francisco, the Ermita Church, the Municipal Theater, the Jorge Isaacs Theater, the National Palace , the Coltabaco Building and the religious complex of La Merced.
For the past nineteen years, in December, there has been an event called "La Misa de Mi Pueblo" which celebrates religious acts such as processions, Eucharistic celebrations in different churches and cultural activities around the historic center of Cali.
