"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
In Guacarí, the Casa Cural (parish house) holds the most beautiful gardens, guarded by the splendid colonial architecture. It is considered a complete religious art museum, in which bibles written in latin, angel pictures that have lost texture and color, immense doors engraved in baroque style, antique pianos, and chairs permeated by history are harbored.
Other of the reasons that make this place appealing for visitors is that according to various historians, the liberator Simon Bolivar spent the night in this house in one of his many trips. On January 11th, 1822 he was hosted in it when he was returning from the liberating campaign in Ecuador and Peru, which took place on December 26th, 1829.
How to get there?
In order to get to Guacarí from the ground transportation of Cali, a bus route is taken with the companies Líneas del Valle - Tax Central or Coodetrans Palmira. Once in Guacarí, you should go towards the Parque Saavedra Galindo (park). In the corner of the Carrera 9na with 4th street, the Casa Cural (parish house) is found.
