"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
It is a true privilege, a luxury for the senses,to perceive all the wonders of nature offered at the ‘Jardín Botánico de Cali’ (Cali’s Botanical Garden). Mainly, the garden is a tropical dry forest with an exceptional climate, that hosts fauna and flora not found anywhere else and that, in addition, is at a high risk of extinction. This is a magical place, with unparalleled biodiversity, where you can enjoy pure air; children, youngsters and adults can learn to appreciate natural resources and interact with the ecosystem. Theser is possible thanks to guided tours (you can also do the tour on your own).
This natural refuge covers an area of 11.8 hectares. It has been regenerated for many years by the ‘Fundación Jardín Botánico de Cali’ to fulfill the purposes of strengthening ecological tourism, providing recreational spaces with a different and enriching approach in favor of the culture and well-being of the city and the public in general, as well as promoting research, education and conservation of the area. This institution even has a nursery that tends for the conservation of native species.
