"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
The openwork and embroidery fairs in Ansermanuevo, at the north of Valle del Cauca, are held every year to mark the anniversary of this municipality. Its inhabitants, especially women, have always specialized in carrying out these tasks by hand, so much so that the municipality is known as the cradle of openwork and embroidery. With this fairs, Ansermanuevo wants to make known the artistic value of these practices and forge the image of an entrepreneurial municipality. Thus, the doors are open to tourists who want to know a little more about the manufacturing and cultural activities that take place within the municipality, witnessing the love, dedication and time that is invested in them and see all this effort transformed into beautiful clothing. In addition, they will be able to take with them unique attires, which are characteristic of the region.
How to get here?
The municipality of Ansermanuevo is located 200 kilometers from Cali, to the north. By car, the shortest route is taking the Cali-Palmira highway and follow it until you have passed Cerrito, Ginebra, Buga, Andalucía, Zarzal and la Unión. Followed, there is the municipality of Ansermanuevo. In opposition, if you want to take a bus, from the transport terminal of Cali the company “Cooperativa de Occidente” offers a bus route to the municipality.
