"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
Our region has a geography of exotic places, beautiful places and this natural reserve is no exception. A place with landscapes of exuberant beauty, where you can find diversity of fauna and flora, waterfalls, forests and where you can connect deeply with nature. Certainly, a place that you will want to visit and remember for the breathtaking beauty of its surroundings. Although it has not been possible to establish a final inventory, it is estimated that there are 16 species of amphibians, 313 species of birds, 23 species of reptiles, and 57 species of mammals.
The Rio Bravo Nature Reserve has been considered a Natural Heritage of Humanity. Near this wonderful natural beauty is the municipality of Calima-El Darién, Calima Lake and the Calima Archaeological Museum, places for recreation and knowledge of the cultures of our ancestors. This attraction is particular in creating an intimate relationship with nature and its wonderful landscapes.
How to get there?
We recommend that you take a guided tour of the Nature Reserve. To do this, you can get to the municipalities of Calima-El Darién or Restrepo and from there, board a willys jeep (public transportation) to enter the area.
