"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
This is one of the most importat fashion, beauty and health events in Colombia, in which the innovative ideas of the designers and business people are shown to the public and the esthetic lovers.
This museum is a jewel located in the heart of the Valle del Cauca. Inside, there is a collection of aircraft, aviation engines and flight suits ranging from aircraft belonging to the Second World War to our days. Furthermore, it exhibits scale prototypes of aircrafts categorized by how real they are. Thus, anyone who wants to enter the world of aviation to learn a little more about its history, the mysteries it contains and the technological developments in which it has ventured, can not miss the ‘Museo Aéreo Fénix’ (Fénix Air Museum).
In addition to the aircraft, which are the central axis of the museum, it also has a collection of steam locomotives that operated at the beginning of the 20th century and displays the third largest railway model in the world (450 square meters). In short, this place has the mission of awaking curiosity, interest and be an inspiring reference for other people who feel affinity with the subject.
Among the facilities offered by the place are a large parking lot, souvenir shop, cafeteria and a modeling workshop. Visitors can take guided tours of do it by themselves.
How to get there?
The museum is located in Palmira, at Gate Number 9 of Alfonso Bonilla Aragon International Airport. Plenty of public transport can be taken at the main public bus station in Cali, taking visitors directly to the place.
